A full program of Microbiological testing is available, including pathogens Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter, Clostridium perfringens and indicator organisms such as Aerobic Plate Count, Yeast and Mold and Total Coliforms.

Further processed poultry products, particularly refrigerated products, are susceptible to pathogen and spoilage organism growth. Strasburger & Siegel can custom design and conduct Shelf Life studies and evaluations of your new products. We are USDA accredited to perform testing for Fat, Salt and Moisture. Full Nutritional Analysis including Trans Fat and the Nutrition Facts Panel is available. In addition we can provide on-going testing of production product to ensure continued quality.

USDA Export of Poultry to Russia Program

Strasburger & Siegel is one of only a few independent laboratories accredited by the USDA/FSIS to analyze poultry products destined for export from the United States to Russia. We perform testing on all four parameters. These include Pesticides, Heavy Metals including Arsenic, Pathogenic bacteria including Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes, and Antibiotics including Chloramphenicol, Bacitracin, Penicillin, and Sulfur Drugs. Our analytical package is designed for compliance with USDA requirements and includes the sample preparation and report preparation at a very competitive price.

Many meat products and meat product facilities require microbiological testing for indicator organisms and pathogens on a regular basis. These including Total Coliforms, E. coli, E. coli 0157:H7, Listeria spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Staph. aureus, and Salmonella spp. Whether your need is for product testing, Environmental swab testing or Equipment swab testing, you can rely on Strasburger & Siegel for your microbiology testing needs.

Verification of species of meat may be prudent when meat is cut or ground so that the source cannot be verified by other methods. Strasburger & Siegel can do this test on both cooked and raw meat products.
